This is when it sets in that I have an American (who will one day be a dual) love child! I think I will decorate half of her up! and the worst part is.. I forgot it was even Canada Day until I saw a FB friends profile picture.. I am all “fourth of July this” and “fourth of July that”.. I would have loved to have gone up and had pancakes in the park.. and watched the mounties.. although.. who am I kidding.. I never did that when I lived there.. it was always “to early”.. ah.. to be young.. baby free.. and staying up until 7am again..
All the things I miss about Canada..
-getting paid extra to work on a holiday
-getting paid extra to not work on a holiday
-maternity pay
-free medical
-Hawkins Cheezies & Hys Steak spice
-London Drugs
-Milestones Eggs Benedict
-friends and familys at my fingertips
-only being 4 hours to Vernon.. and not 7 (border depending)
-not asking if I have a “note from dad” everytime I cross the border
-Save-on-Foods
-Panagopolous
and last but not least.. ICBC..
and these are a few of my favorite things :)
