this has been a crazy crazy week.. jam packed full of holiday cheer! I guess I will just start from the begining..
I have finally started my christmas shopping.. its not the easiest with children and being ass tired from pregnancy.. but the sweet lady at Nordstroms made it just a little bit easier..
we saw this little girl having a horrible tantrum.. her poor mama.. and the mom kept telling the sales lady that she was not allowed a balloon.. and of course.. being the 18 year old sales kid that she was.. and probably sans children.. she handed her one anyway.. Olive just sat there and watched.. she wanted a balloon to! so she walked up all shy and asked.. “peas”.. “pink ballooney” and she recieved.. she than followed the woman around the childrens shoe section for ten minutes.. it was love at first sight!
I had to take a photo of her asking the lady.. she was so sweet..
cont..
to the canada’s we went! normally I am only there for 2.. maybe 3 days.. but I had two events planned.. four days apart.. and I was not ready to drive home only to come back up.. so I cancelled my shifts.. and over packed.. (but of course)..
we headed up to celebrate my grandma Bs memorial.. the family and siblings went out for dinner.. and had a great good time.. of course.. Murphy came around and Olive never napped.. and wouldn’t eat.. and was throwing tantrums in the restaurant.. which she rarely does.. I think because she has so much walking freedom at Bostons.. she thought she had the same here.. not so much.. I was finally able to meet my brothers little baby Jaxon.. and he was just as tiny as Olive.. but I don’t remember her being that small.. I couldn’t take a picture because Olive was jealous.. and my camera was shoved at the end of the 20 person table that was to small :(
me and Dust however were able to go out for lunch with my seester and her husband.. it was weird.. because is never happens.. ever.. I think the last time was over 3 years ago at Alexanders pub in Vernon.. when I had no children.. and Tiffs was home with the babysitter.. it was fun.. and we all enjoyed wings and drinks.. water.. and had fun.. we asked the server to take a pic.. and she had no idea how to work the camera.. and couldn’t angle it.. and the good pic she did take.. I accidently erased before I uploaded it.. so we have this one.. all of us laughing at something that was said or done..
this trip was filled with play dates and friends.. and ladies baking nights.. normally when I am up there for such short time.. it is family based.. but this time I was able to make some plans and do things..
and I finally crossed over and made the connection with Mrs. Jenne Rosse.. I first met her probably four years ago at their first annual Rosse Christmas party.. Dustin went to high school with her husband.. and have known each other forever.. I remember the one thing that stood out about the party was Mrs. Rosse.. we ended up talking until 2am in the kitchen.. she was almost 9 months preggo and ready to pop.. and I felt bad for keeping her up.. but the conversation was easy and natural and we couldnt stop.. I told Dust when we left.. I need her number! didn’t happen.. we than saw them at a friends wedding.. she was smokin hot as ever.. and we talked again.. again.. no number.. the next time I saw her was at their second annual Rosse Christmas party.. (they are bi-annual) and I said.. ok.. this is it.. I NEED your email.. because again.. we talked and talked.. and just hit it off.. she told me her address.. me thinking I could remember it by memory?! got home from the holidays.. and was like.. no.. I will not go another year.. I text dust.. to text her husband.. to give me her info.. he than also posted her blog link and her email.. and I was hooked.. which is how this blog came to be.. I was able to look back and see a years full of memories they had created.. and her life looked good! I wanted in.. so we finally became blogging buddies!
and on Monday morning.. we finally crossed over to a play date.. and Olive fell in love with her girls.. (its not hard.. they are so kissable)..
crayons.. mac n cheese and grapes.. Olive was hooked.. and our whole drive down from Canada went something like this..
Olive- mama..
me- yes..
Olive- I see baby ever?
me-baby ever is at home..
Olive- and Ita Purple (her real name is Vita Blue.. not purple)
the whole way home.. which was nice.. cause there was no tantrums and wanting out of her seat.. needless to say.. there will be more of these play dates!
